"Millionaire McCain" Delivers Thank You Card to Republican Party

Advocates call on McCain to “stand up for working families”

Tallahassee, FL - One day before Sen. John McCain is scheduled to visit Florida, his doppelganger, "Millionaire McCain," delivered a thank you card to the Republican Party of Florida in appreciation for their hard work helping him to ensure that he can continue to stand up for corporate special interests.

The card delivered by "Millionaire McCain" read: "Thanks again to the Republican Party of Florida for helping me hoodwink working families and keep looking out for corporate special interests."

According to the April 16th edition of the Washington Post, "McCain offered sweeping rhetoric about the economic plight of working-class Americans...even as he spelled out a tax and spending agenda whose benefits are aimed squarely at spurring corporate growth."

“We look forward to having both Senator Obama and Senator McCain at our annual conference to present their plans to help bridge the economic divide between communities of color and mainstream America,” said Marc Morial, President and CEO of the National Urban League in a 7/23 news release.

"That's going to be quite a challenge for Sen. McCain who is out of touch on a broad range of issues of importance to Florida's working families," said Progress Florida political director Damien Filer. "We're calling on John McCain to stand up for Florida's working families."
