Statewide Campaign Director (Organize Now!)

Job Title: Statewide Campaign Political Director
Position Location: Orlando, Florida
Position Summary:
Organize Now is hiring a highly experienced organizer to run a statwide organizing campaign. The Statewide Campaign Political Director will assist in visioning, planning, and overseeing an innovative campaign in conjunction with unions, social justice organizations, critical constituency groups and allies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief strategic and tactical executive of the campaign;
- Work with the ON's Executive Director, board and staff in coordinating implementation of the statewide campaign;
- Develop and implement the campaign plan to win;
- Oversee the coordinated campaign efforts with allies and coordination of all designated staff and volunteers;
- Oversee the development and production of the communication strategy;
- Work with affiliate organizations and allies to support the participation and leadership of local staff and members;
- Manage a large field team of experienced organizers and canvassers;
- Provide a strategic vision for the campaign that promotes the vision of a better more equitable Florida
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, volunteers and campaign partners;
- Collaborate on communications to successfully project campaign's impact;
- Help ensure that this campaign supports the growth and development of ON and is in alignment with the organizational vision; partner organizations;
- Ensure that all the many moving pieces of this exciting campaign are implemented successfully
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years organizing experience (labor or community, or non-candidate electoral);
- Experience leading organizing campaigns with national significance or impact;
- Understanding of issues facing low-wage workers, immigrant communities, and other communities of color;
- Experience building broad-based coalitions;
- Comfort with the implementation of a range of organizing strategies and tactics;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills - good attention to detail and well organized;
- Self-motivated - proven ability to work independently;
- Ability to work well with diverse groups and populations;
- Dedication and ability to work flexible hours;
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred but not required.
